A specialist in radiochemistry, whose scientific works are related to modern directions of radiochemistry.

Born on 29 October 1974.

 Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 28 October 2016.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 2 June 2022.

He was the first to show the dominant role of colloidal particles in the transport of plutonium with groundwater from radioactive waste disposal sites, and to determine its physicochemical forms in different geochemical conditions. He developed new methods of radionuclide extraction and separation from aqueous solutions using carbon nanomaterials and new organic extractants.

He proposed and implemented a new method of production of medical radionuclides - ²²⁵Ac, ²²³Ra, ⁶⁷Cu, etc. for targeted therapy of oncological diseases.

He is a lecturer - gives lecture courses at Lomonosov Moscow State University, supervises diploma theses, has trained 7 candidates of sciences, was a lecturer at a number of international summer schools.

He is a scientific secretary of the Interdepartmental Scientific Council on Radiochemistry, a member of the bureau of the National Committee of Russian Chemists, a member of the editorial boards of the scientific journals Radiochimica Asta, Solvent Extraction and Ion Exchange, Radiochemistry, Radiation Safety Issues, Radioactive Waste.

His work is well known abroad: as an invited speaker he has presented at more than 25 international conferences, he is a permanent member of the organising committees of international conferences - Actinides, Pu futures, Actinide XAS, NRC and others.

- V.G. Khlopin Prize of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Awarded in 2016 for the cycle of works ‘Radiochemical Aspects of Closed NFC and its Environmental Impact’.
