Professor Qiyuan CHENG mainly engaged in research on solutions of partial differential equations, presided over the NSFC’s projects "Polynomial Fourier Transform for Non-stationary Signal Analysis and Processing" and "Non-Geometric Variational Problems", participated in the project "Research on New Methods for Analysis and Processing of Non-stationary Signals" and so on, published more than 30 papers. She was previously a council member of the 6th and 7th Beijing Computing Mathematics Society, the responsible professor of the Information and Computing Science Major at BIT, and deputy director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Mathematical Representation and Analysis of Complex Information and Applications. She was awarded the Beijing Pioneer of Teacher Ethics in 2016, the first prize for Beijing's teaching achievements in 2018, and the second prize for national teaching achievements in 2019.

程杞元教授主要從事偏微分方程數值解方向的研究工作，主持自然科學基金項目《非平穩信號分析與處理的多項式Fourier變換》、《非線性幾何變分問題》，參加《非平穩信號分析與處理的新方法研究》項目等，發表論文30多篇。北京市計算數學學會第六、七屆理事，北京理工大學數學與統計學院信息與計算科學專業責任教授，北京市復雜信息數學表征分析與應用重點實驗室副主任。 2016年獲北京市師德先鋒，2018年獲得北京市教學成果一等獎，2019年該獲得國家級教學成果二等獎。
